WELCOME TO LAKE DORA AREA WOMEN'S CLUB

MOUNT DORA, FLORIDA

The GFWC "Lake Dora Area Women's Club" formerly the "Mount Dora Area Junior Woman’s Club" (MDAJWC) is known as one of the finest volunteer organizations in our area.  It was established in 1990 by a group of creative and enthusiastic young women and has continued to be a vital part of our community thanks to the devotion of our members. Club members have committed thousands of hours to service to the community and raised thousands of dollars for educational scholarships for students at the area high school and supported many local charities. Meetings are held monthly in Mount Dora, Florida.

The Next meeting is Monday, August 30th at the home of Jane Brown..   We will have snacks at 6:30 PM with the meeting starting at 7 PM.. The focus of the meeting will be on the upcoming fundraiser.

For the next two months our donations will go to local schools for supplies for the classroom.  So please pick up crayons, pens, notebooks, etc..  when they go on sale and bring them to the July & August meetings.  We will then divide them between several local schools.

Our General Meeting for September will be held at
the Cinnamon Inn on September 27th.

Thank You so much to all of our members and Club friends and supporters volunteered with the Women’s Club, at the 2010 Arnold Palmer Invitational this past March.  We had a lot of fun and hope that you did as well! We sincerely appreciate all of the hard work. This annual fundraiser supports educational scholarships and local charities.
